CXCO was engaged by a leading luxury car company to improve sales, the dealer-customer relationship, and customer engagement, by creating digital tools for use in the dealership showroom. The collaboration began with the move to create a more interactive sales experience, and to showcase the different features of the car to different customer groups.

We designed a solution to meet the needs of sales professionals in the dealership, and provided a streamlined experience from car selection to configuration. The result was an iPad application designed to engage the customer in rich media and contextual information to aid decision-making. 

From the showroom floor, the dealer was able to configure the customer’s car, selecting colour, trim and accessory preferences, and send a personalised brochure to the customer’s email address for review, or for sharing with family and friends. This enabled the customers to access features beyond those available in the showroom, and to receive a personalised brochure containing content that was interesting and relevant to them.

What was the approach?

CXCO started by developing a number of concepts for testing and refinement. Insight was gained from dealers and customers, and was used to create the final set of detailed design specifications. Interaction flows, detailed wireframes, and visual design concepts were created to support the development of the iPad app.

What were the key benefits?

  • The solution enabled the dealer to collect a prospects email address without appearing intrusive or pushy, and by giving something in exchange - a personalised brochure.
